Art Deco Platinum and Diamond Lavalier Pendant, Circa 1920~A gorgeous Art Deco diamond pendant, all original~circa 1920. This is a stunning piece. It reflects the tail end of Edwardian and the beginning of Art Deco~it what I call "soft Art Deco" because the lines are a lot softer. It's a brilliant piece~very sparkly, brilliant, with tons of scintillation. The three "legs" that hang off the pendant move at hinges in three different places so it will move as you walk, it will move with you. It will not be stiff, It is a "soft" piece of jewelry. It's the hallmark of a beautifully made piece of jewelry. All of the diamonds are beautifully matched in both color and cut. The Diamonds are approximately "G" color and VS1 to 2 clarity. The platinum mounting is milgrained around each diamond so it is very crisp and the diamonds really "pop". The diamond weight is approximately 4.20cts, with the center being approximately .85cts. The pendant is a little over 1 1/2" long and 3/4" wide. Hung on a platinum diamond chain that is modern with tiny diamonds. I would assist you in finding a new chain if desired. My personal feeling is that the pendant can stand on it's own with a simple platinum chain.
